News from Magnat: With the MA 700, the manufacturer is expanding its amplifier portfolio in the form of a hybrid integrated amplifier to which analog and digital sources can be connected – and wireless connections are also possible via Bluetooth.

Hybrid amplifier Magnat MA 700 with transistor and tube technology

The new offspring of the Magnat family, in a sense the smaller brother of the MA 900, is equipped with a tube pre-stage, in which, according to Magnat, two selected and pre-aged ECC-81 tubes take over the input amplification. Magnat uses transistors in the output stage, so that 2 x 50 watts (8 ohms) are available at the speaker terminals.

As already indicated, the Magnat MA 700 integrated amplifier is quite extensive in terms of connectivity: The amp comes with four analog high-level inputs and an additional 3.5 mm audio input on the front for portable devices, a phono input (MM) and two audio channels -Digital inputs (Toslink and Coax). There is also a Bluetooth aptX receiver on board. Not to be forgotten is the HDMI / ARC interface with CEC function, which means that the volume can be regulated using the TV remote control.

The integrated DAC of the Magnat MA 700 can process digital music data up to 24 bit / 192 kHz, the transistorized power amplifier section runs in Class AB mode. Other features include a switchable loudness function, a headphone amplifier with a 6.35 mm jack output, a sub out, a switchable treble / bass tone control and a fixed out for connecting an external power amplifier or for use as a Rec Out. A remote control is of course also included in the scope of delivery.
