The Ravensburg-based manufacturer Makroaudio is introducing a new power distributor that can be customized with different cable lengths. Power distributor? Yes, because “power strip” doesn’t quite fit it due to the special design.

Unlike what is known from power strips, the Makroaudio Power Distribution MKII does not come with Schuko or IEC sockets, but the power cables Hard wired in a star shape – Generously dimensioned copper bars with a cross-section of 64 mm² take care of the supply inside the housing. In this way, contact resistances, as they basically exist in classic Schuko sockets, are to be minimized.

The power distributor is connected to the mains via a Schuko plug with gold-plated contacts, the power lines to the devices themselves come with cold device couplings with copper contacts – inside there are filters on all lines Ferrite cores.

The power distributors are optionally equipped with six or eight device lines. The length of the supply line can be selected in 50 cm steps between 1.50 and 3 meters, the lead lengths are either 1 or 1.50 meters. Individual cable lengths are also possible for a surcharge.
