LG already has one at the beginning of this year complete line-up oled televisions announced for the Dutch and Belgian market, but the South Korean manufacturer will probably bring another new model to the market later this year. Via the iF Design Awards we are introduced to the LG GOLED lifestyle television from LG.
LG GOLED lifestyle
The LG GOLED is a television that is an alternative for people who do not want a simple black screen on the cupboard. It is a so-called “lifestyle television” with an innovative design. The TV comes with an OLED panel that is placed on a glass plate, something we still know from the G6 / 7 series and even the E6 series. However, the E series has disappeared and the G series has transitioned to a Gallery design. So there is room for a new OLED television mounted on a glass plate.
According to the organization behind the iF Design Awards, the GOLED television comes with a very thin screen and real glass ensures a clean and minimalist appearance. Simplicity and purity are central, according to the jury. This also applies to the rear of the television, with a beautiful pattern and an innovative cable management system.
LG itself has not yet announced anything about this new GOLED television, but the expectation is that we do not have to expect any improvements in terms of image and audio quality compared to the models launched earlier this year. The television will most likely have the latest Alpha 9 processor, HDMI 2.1 ports, the 4K resolution and webOS 6.0. It is not yet known when LG will officially announce the TV.
