LG Display shows OLED concepts with Media Chair and Virtual Ride: During CES 2022 it is not only time to present new products that will actually appear in stores, but it is also fun to get a look behind the scenes when it comes to new concepts. More often than not, these products don’t appear in stores, but they do show a certain vision and direction that we may be heading in the future. LG Displays has brought some of those interesting OLED concepts to CES 2022, you know flat panelshd.
OLED concepts with Media Chair
The Media Chair is a futuristic-looking recliner with a 55-inch curved OLED screen and built-in sound technology that can be brought to the user via vibrations from the display without external speakers. The screen can be turned horizontally or vertically via buttons on the armrest.
Virtual Ride
The Virtual Ride is a combination of an exercise bike with three vertically placed 55-inch OLED screens in front of and above the user. Handy for sports or when you want to virtually sit on the roller coaster, but we can’t really find any practical applications here.
OLED Shelf
Transparent OLED screens. The technology has been around for a while, but we haven’t seen any real practical applications yet. The OLED Shelf combines a transparent OLED screen with a shelf on the wall. The transparent OLED screen hangs under the shelf and the interior is further interwoven with OLED technology.
