LG announces CineBeam HU915QE ultra shows throw projector that offers a projection ratio of 0.19:1 and project an image from 90″ to 120″

The new CineBeam HU915QE projector measures 680 (W) x 347 (W) x 128 (H) millimeters and offers a projection ratio of 0.19:1. It allows you to project an image from 90″ to 120″, from the following distances:

  • 90″ at a distance of 5.6 cm
  • 100″ at a distance of 9.8cm
  • 110″ at a distance of 14cm
  • 120″ at a distance of 18cm

The projector uses DLP technology with a 0.66″ chip equipped with 2716 x 1528 micro-mirrors. Thanks to the XPR (eXpanded Pixel Resolution) technology, two pixels are displayed for each micro-mirror, resulting in an Ultra HD resolution. The RGB laser provides 94 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

LG claims a brightness of 3,700 ANSI lumens and an estimated life of at least 20,000 hours. The noise varies from 26 to 30 dB, depending on the operating mode. There is HDR support in HDR10 and HLG formats. The video processor is capable of applying dynamic tone mapping. Images are analyzed in real time, rebalancing light and dark. The CineBeam HU915QE also offers the Filmmaker Mode and webOS as a smart TV platform. AirPlay 2 is also present, as are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, an Ethernet port, two USB-A 2.0 ports and an optical digital output. The HDMI inputs are compatible with Auto Low Latency Mode and eARC .

The projector offers a 2.2-channel sound system with 40 watts of power, hidden behind the front in Kvadrat fabric. If desired, this configuration can be enhanced by adding two Bluetooth speakers to compose a 4.2 channel system; the speakers act as rear speakers. Available connections include the aforementioned Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, an Ethernet port, two USB-A 2.0 ports, and an optical digital output. The HDMI inputs are 3 , 2 in version 2.0b and one compatible with Auto Low Latency Mode and eARC . The full-featured port handles 24 Gbps bandwidth and can carry Ultra HD 60Hz resolution signals in 10-bit 4:4:4.

CineBeam HU915QE should be available in the first half of 2022 . In the United States, the projector will cost about $6,000. The price for the Benelux has not yet been announced.
