LG 2018 Soundbar Home Cinema line-up

In addition to various new LCD LED TVs and new OLED TVs , LG will come to the Netherlands and Belgium in 2018 with a complete line-up of soundbar home cinema systems. The Korean manufacturer introduces five new models and holds one 2017 soundbar in the range. The top model for 2018 is the LG SK10Y.

LG 2018 soundbar line-up

In the LG range we see two soundbars with Dolby Atmos; the SK10Y and the S9Y. The SK10Y has been developed in cooperation with Meredian Technology. High resolution audio support is available on all models. Below is an overview of all soundbars that LG brings to the Netherlands and Belgium this year.

LG SK10Y

The new LG SK10Y soundbar has been developed for an optimal home cinema experience in the living room. The soundbar has a capacity of 550 watts and supports 5.1.2 output thanks to Dolby Atmos technology. With Dolby Atmos, sound can be placed in a three-dimensional space for a compelling sound from all directions. For this the soundbar is equipped with multiple speakers.

The cooperation with Meridian Audio is also reflected in the SK10Y loudspeaker. Meridian has equipped the SK10Y with various technical innovations such as the Bass and Space technology to envelop listeners into rich and uncompromising audio. In addition, the LG SK10Y soundbar supports high resolution audio files. The soundbar can play sound up to 40 kHz and the soundbar also has a built-in sound-enhancing function that increases the quality of standard audio files up to 24bit / 192Hz.

The design of the SK10Y features a rounded, modern-looking edging and a slim profile that connects seamlessly with most televisions that LG brings to the market in 2018. The soundbar can be connected to smart hubs, speakers and other smart devices that support Chromecast. The speaker can also be used with the smart Google Assistant.

LG SK9Y

The LG SK9Y is largely comparable to the SK10Y but is not co-developed by Meredian Technology. In addition, the power is slightly lower and the design differs.
