iRobot introduces robotic vacuum cleaners Roomba i5 and i5+

Stefan Bernard, General Manager of iRobot EMEA, said: “The  i5 and i5+ extend our range to offer exceptional intelligence and cleaning performance as well as greater personalization and control thanks to iRobot’s home intelligence software.”

Via Imprint Smart Mapping you can assign rooms and indicate that the robot vacuum cleaners should only clean in specific rooms. The Roomba i5+ empties itself with the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal. This special AllergenLock bag is designed to capture 99 percent of pollen and mold and lasts for 60 days.

Both models can navigate the house in straight lanes. They charge themselves when needed, after which they can get back to work to finish cleaning. According to iRobot, these models suck up to 10x more powerful than the Roomba 600 series. Of course, the Home Intelligence software from iRobot available. Users get smart map, voice and app functions. You can use voice commands via Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Siri or use the iRobot Home app for control.

Price and availability of Roomba i5 and i5+

The Roomba i5+ is available immediately via the website of iRobot for 699 euros. The regular  i5 is available immediately for 449 euros.
