Huawei announces two new smartwatches in the GT series. The Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro is the successor to the Watch GT 2 Pro and is a more luxurious version compared to the previously launched Watch GT 3. The premium smartwatch is available in two variants. A 46mm titanium version with a titanium case, sapphire crystal and a ceramic back (1.43-inch display) and a 43mm ceramic version with sapphire glass and a ceramic front and back (1.32-inch display). The Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro builds on the company’s current smartwatches and works with the Huawei Health app. That means plenty of health and fitness features and you can track more than 100 sports. You can always find your starting point again with the Route Back Navigation function.
Navigation, blood oxygen and more
In addition to all the possibilities that we have already seen with previous generations, such as heart rate, pedometer, sleep tracking, stress, menstrual cycle, you will now also find an EKG analysis (not yet live at launch) and you can measure the amount of oxygen in the blood. This time there are also more workout apps available such as Runtastic and Komoot and you have navigation via Petal Maps. Google Maps is not available, because Huawei is still not allowed to use Google after the ban from the United States. You can save music on the smartwatch itself, which also runs on HarmonyOS.
The water resistance has been increased and many small improvements have been added, such as an AI running assistant, apnea training function and a skin temperature sensor. The watch now has a 3D rotating crown for the first time that allows you to quickly choose the right apps or change the volume.
