After a major update, the Hisense L9G tri-laser projector supports the dynamic HDR format Dolby Vision. This makes the bundle, consisting of a short-throw projector and projection screen, even more attractive.
The dynamic High Dynamic Range format Dolby Vision is spreading further in the projector segment. The Hisense L9G tri-laser projector is now also getting an update that enables the processing of Dolby Vision content. And that is striking since Dolby Vision is rarely or can be added afterwards through an update.
Unlike the HDR formats HDR10 and HLG, which are often supported by projectors, Dolby Vision offers the possibility to read out dynamic metadata and use it for the HDR display. In addition, the brightness levels are adjusted according to the projector’s minimum and maximum brightness values.
The Hisense 100L9G consists of a short throw projector with a TriChroma Laster light source (three lasers for red, green and blue), the 4K resolution and an optimized screen with a diameter of 100-inch (254cm). We recently extensively tested this bundle from Hisense, the results of which you can see below.
