Every year the colleagues of the English HDTV Test 2018 hold an extensive TV shootout in which several top models are put next to each other. Consumers are invited to rate these TV editors calibrated at different points and then a winner rolls out. This year the shootout is held again, and in this article you will find the winners.
HDTV Test 2018 TV shootout
This year HDTVTest has the top models of TVs from LG, Panasonic, Samsung and Sony besides put together and invited several readers to assess the quality of these devices on different parts. The OLED models went off with four awards, while one award was reserved for Samsung’s LCD LED (QLED) television.
Before the test, all televisions were officially calibrated by the editors and there are also two reference monitors Sony used to compare the image quality. Just like last year, the attendees of the 2018 TV shootout voted the Panasonic FZ802 as the best home theater TV and the best TV overall, which is a testament to the Japanese brand’s commitment to color accuracy and video fidelity. 2018 has seen a dynamic range for dynamic impacts, as well as lower input lag, allowing the company to defend its crown against stiff competition.
