HBO is busy with the future of its network. Now that dairy cow Game of Thrones comes to an end next year, a replacement has to be found. They mainly search for a spin-off, of which one will now officially get a pilot.
Game of Thrones prequel
HBO today officially ordered a game of thrones prequel, which takes place thousands of years before the ‘normal’ series. It was developed by franchisist George R.R. Martin and writer Jane Goldman. We know her from films such as Kick-Ass and Kingsman: The Secret Service . Central to their series is the actual origin of the White Walkers.
“One thing is certain: from the horrific secrets of the history of Westeros, to the actual origins of the White Walkers, the mysteries from the East and the Starks from legends … it is not the story as we think we know it. “
According to The Hollywood Reporter the project looks at the world that descends from the Age of Heroes to ” its darkest time ” . This probably refers to the legend of the Night’s King, which now includes the Starks and Targaryens in the series. The mysterious mythical creatures – the White Walkers – covered the world with darkness and a blanket of ice for years, but were eventually chased away by an alliance of different races.
Perhaps the series will look at those moments and show how the Long Night well actually went.
