Harman Kardon announced a new soundbar series called Harman Kardon Enchant at IFA 2018. Two models appear in this series, which are equipped with some smart functions and sound solutions.
This is the Harman Kardon Enchant
With the Harman Kardon Enchant the manufacturer wants to present a surround sound experience for which no additional speakers or other equipment is needed. This is possible thanks to the Harman Kardon MultiBeam technology, which has to realize a surround sound without extra speakers. This is done on the basis of an algorithm for digital signal processing (DSP). The DSP provides demarcated audio decoding that, in combination with the lateral loudspeaker drivers, sends sound across the walls to all corners of the room.
Unlike an old-fashioned external microphone, the automatic MultiBeam calibration (AMC) adapts wirelessly to the unique dimensions of the room. The Harman Kardon Enchant soundbars are available in versions with thirteen or eight channels, the Enchant 1300 and the Enchant 800, for any television format. For consumers who want to amplify the bass according to their own taste, an optional Enchant wireless subwoofer is available. It is therefore not included as standard with the soundbars.
Thanks to the built-in Chromecast, the user has easy access to more than 300 popular HD streaming services. In addition, the Enchant soundbars can be connected to other Chromecast loudspeakers throughout the house for an impressive multi-room experience.
