Google has announced that a new version of YouTube app for Android TV is now being rolled out. The update can now be downloaded. This gives you access to personalized channels for the home screen of Android Oreo and voice commands for Google Assistant.

Android Oreo is gradually being rolled out for more and more devices and that means that different apps will also be updated so that they can use the latest features. For example, this video streaming service introduces personalized channels on the home screen of your television or media player. You can watch videos directly from the various tabs within the app, without actually having to open that app. This update is rolled out in the form of a server-side update and is on its way.
An update to download is the voice commands for the Google Assistant. You can use the voice assistant for navigating through videos. For example, you can ask (in English) whether the assistant can forward a video, for example. You can also perform searches.
