FiiO Q11 Design
This headphone amplifier has a minimalist style, however, it meets the necessary functionalities of this type of device. From balanced 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs, to a high gain switch and volume control.
The battery lasts about 13 hours and can be recharged in less than a couple of hours via the USB-C input, which doubles as a DAC port.
The Q11 features an all-metal body design with a mirror-like finish. It houses a clear glass window in the center that has multicolored LEDs that glow different colors depending on the active bitrate. Also, the volume control is well weighted and turns smoothly. So it’s a pretty safe option for those using very sensitive IEMs.
Decoding and superior amplification
The FiiiO Q11 allows you to enjoy the benefits of Cirrus Logics DAC chips. It comes equipped with a high-performance CS43198 DAC chip. This 32-bit DAC enables decoding of high-resolution audio signals and achieves exceptionally clean output with ultra-low distortion and high SNR ratings.
To take full advantage of the DAC chipset, FiiO has equipped the Q11 with premium components in the audio circuitry. This includes dual independent op amps, high precision crystal oscillators, low noise power supply system, and more.
FiiO has introduced a powerful amplifier section in the Q11. It features dual chips that provide a powerful output of up to 650mW on the balanced 4.4mm output.
functionality and connections
Since the Q11 only supports wired inputs via the USB Type-C connector, setup is as simple as using the cable of your choice with the client of your choice.
By default, the LED indicator above the Type-C input turns on to show you the current status of the device and battery. FiiO calls this the “power ambient light” and it stays a static blue when turned on/in standby/in use. The LED will flash blue when the built-in 2600 mAh battery is running low, a static red when charging, and purple when charging while the device is on (displays static blue when fully charged).
On the other hand, the FiiO Q11 is also compatible with the FiiO Control mobile application available for Android and iOS.
