Exasound S82 MARK II Streaming DAC

EXASOUND INTRODUCES THE NEW S82 MARK II Streaming DAC

DSD512 STREAMING DAC AND ROON SERVER

The s82 Mark II DSD512 Streaming DAC takes the technologies introduced with the s88 Stereophile A+ DAC to the next level. The s82 Mark II comes with an integrated Roon server with Intel i5 CPU, 16GB RAM and 2-6TB SSD storage.

Packing a reference-grade 32-bit digital-to-analog converter, Roon Ready Streamer and Roon Server in a sleek, full-size unibody enclosure, the s82 shines with ergonomic simplicity and sonic excellence.

With refinements like self-contained balanced and unbalanced I/V stages and exaSound’s exclusive 3-way galvanic isolation, full-resolution volume control and high-performance headphone amplifier, the s82 Mark II will uncover every detail in your sources. High-resolution music, allowing you to listen to the music as it was recorded.

The s82 features proprietary asynchronous USB streaming, ASIO and Core Audio drivers, and FPGA core to achieve a bit-perfect, low-jitter, 32-bit signal path.

The s82 will play DSD encoded files natively and stream up to DSD512, DXD 352.8kHz, PCM and MQA up to 384kHz.

With state-of-the-art performance, easy operation, remote diagnostics, online updates, upgradeable output stages, and exaSound’s acclaimed customer support, the s82 Mark II Streaming DAC and Roon Server will be the all-in-one digital core of your music system for years to come.

S82 MARK II VS. S82 MARK I

The two models of the exaSound s82 Streaming DAC are identical in terms of sound fidelity, appearance, and refinement.

The defining feature of the Mark II upgrade is the server/streamer module to house a Roon Core. s82 Mark II is an easy-to-use, all-in-one reference grade solution for Roon: DAC, streamer and server.

The s82 Mark II dual external power supply option allows the server and DAC modules to operate from their own dedicated power supplies that are galvanically isolated from each other. The embedded server and the DAC do not share a common ground plate. From an electromagnetic point of view, they are independent audio components. This separation minimizes noise interference.

The dual external power supply option is available on the s82 Mark I, however, with the increased power demand of the s82 Mark II’s Roon Server module, it becomes a more essential contributor to sound fidelity.

ExaSound pioneered the dual external power architecture and is, to our knowledge, unique in the audiophile equipment market.
