Estelon X Centro MKII and X Centro Diamond MKII launched: The X Centro Mk II is designed for use as a center channel to deliver sound performance unmatched in its class and price, with an unprecedented level of musical accuracy in multi-channel music and home theater systems. Like its predecessor, the X Centro, the design was based on the XC model and perfectly matches the excellent tonal reproduction and sophistication of all Estelon products.
Offering two variants, the X Centro Mk II comes with a ceramic inverted dome tweeter, and the X Centro Diamond Mk II comes with a diamond tweeter, and like all X-series models uses high-quality speakers designed and produced by the highly respected, German driver manufacturer Thiel & Partner GmbH (Accuton). Accuton is arguably one of the best driver manufacturers in the world and highly desired in audio circles.
Dual 158mm (7in) ceramic midwoofers deliver an exceptionally clean impulse response with remarkably low total harmonic distortion (THD) and intermodulation distortion (IMD). The 25mm (1in) ceramic inverted dome alpha corundum tweeter keeps distortion exceptionally low, and early breakup modes are pushed out of the audible range, while the 25mm (1in) diamond “diamond membrane” 1 inch) deposited with chemical vapor, it can reproduce sounds up to the highest frequencies (up to 60 kHz), without distortions in the human hearing range.
The X Centro Mk II crossover is revised and features new and improved resistors and capacitors that offer wider dynamic range and greater transparency. The new internal wiring is provided by Kubala-Sosna. All components of the filter are connected directly, via point-to-point techniques, hand-soldered with high quality silver solder, using the shortest possible cables between the speakers, the filter and the connectors.
The X Centro Mk II’s integrated mount has a well-designed base, milled from one piece of thick aluminum. The base is then attached to a sleek aluminum tube that secures the speaker. This construction gives the speaker the necessary stability to eliminate vibrations and improve fidelity.
