The 26mm (1″) Scan-Speak ‘Illuminator’ Textile Dome tweeter has a symmetrical drive motor for exceptional sound quality and linearity, regardless of whether music is played at high or low volume levels. The tweeter excels in speed and high resolution. The smooth curves of the chassis, together with the tweeter waveguide, eliminate negative reflection impacts from the driver output, so the speaker directivity is homogeneous and wide. The tweeter waveguide has a complex elliptical shape and is adjusted by Scan-Speak to match the specific tweeter. Sound dispersion is more even, and when combined with the mid-woofer speakers, the sound is pure and uninfluenced.
Satori’s 130mm (5″) midwoofer uses a proprietary Egyptian papyrus cone for transparency and effortless sound delivery. Vented aerodynamic cast aluminum chassis provides optimum strength and low compression. The driver features a soft, low-damping rubber surround for optimum transient response, and its neodymium motor system is optimized for low distortion. Silver lead wires are bonded 180° apart to enhance stability.
AURA’s innovative design allows for the incorporation of a powerful 10″ woofer at the base of the speaker (facing downwards), for rich and smooth bass reproduction. The Faital 250mm (10″) woofer provides deep, articulate bass. It has a semi-pressed paper cone that provides clean, tight low frequencies. The woofer has an effortless and precise bass sound. The curved base plate allows the bottom-firing woofer to acoustically couple to the floor. The isolation legs/tips are located at their corners with a suitable distance that provides the necessary stability for the speaker. Finally, the design of the base plate and the elevation of the driver from the ground allows the bass to properly propagate through of the opening provided, even when the speaker is placed on a thick carpet.
AURA’s design is focused on sound quality; however, the sober elegance draws attention. Estelon uses a proprietary thermoforming compound to manufacture the AURA loudspeaker cabinet with advanced surface geometry, inside and out. The purposeful shape and various internal chambers result in features that allow for ideal acoustic properties.
In addition, the acoustic environment created at the base of the AURA loudspeaker provides an additional low-pass filter. This low-pass curve is deeper than the electric filter, therefore the higher frequencies produced by the bass driver, around 80 Hz, are removed. The wide, coherent soundstage along with depth and focus give the impression to the listener that they are always in the sweet spot, regardless of their position in the room.
