The Epos GTW 270 Hybrid Wireless earplugs have low latency audio. This means that there is almost no delay in the sound. If you’re listening to music, delay on the line isn’t much of a problem. But when you watch videos or play video games, some delay can cause irritation.
Epos GTW 270 Hybrid Wireless earbuds with low latency
That low latency is achieved by the included USB-C dongle and support for aptX. You plug it into the USB-C port of your Android smartphone or Nintendo Switch, so you can hear the audio through the earplugs without too many problems. You can also simply connect the earplugs to all kinds of other devices with bluetooth on board; you don’t need that usb-c dongle. However, this is the way to get wireless audio on your Switch. A 1.5 meter USB-C to USB-A conversion cable is also included for the PC and PlayStation consoles.
The battery in the earplugs lasts for five hours, after a ninety minute charge. The included gunmetal silver carrying case offers an extra twenty hours of battery life. In addition, they have interchangeable rubber earplugs and an ergonomic fit. Furthermore, there is ipx5 water resistance, which protects the earplugs against sweat and light rain.
That ergonomic fit, combined with Epos’ own miniature audio drivers, should provide deep, powerful bass, natural mids and crisp highs, engineered for gaming. For example, the Epos GTW 270 Hybrid also offers dual-channel standard Bluetooth 5.1 for transmission via speakers and microphones. The earbuds’ dual microphones provide clear communication, reducing background noise.
