Denon launches AVR-X3500H and AVR-X4500H AV receivers

Earlier this year Denon announced two cheap AV receivers and two middle class models but now it is time for the more serious work. The Japanese manufacturer comes with the AVR-X3500H and AVR-X4500H. Both receivers are equipped with the latest techniques and standards in the field of audio and video, and are equipped with numerous streaming options.

Denon AVR-X4500H

The most comprehensive model of the two is the Denon AVR-X4500H, a 9.2 channel receiver with 200 watts of power per channel (measured with two active channels) and Advanced AL32 Multichannel processing. The receiver supports Dolby Atmos, DTS: X, DTS Virtual: X and Auro 3D. In the field of HDMI there is support for 4K Ultra HD, HDR (HLG, HDR10 and Dolby Vision), ARC and eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel). With analog-to-HDMI conversion, video content can be scaled up to 1080p Full HD or 4K Ultra HD (60/50Hz). There are eight HDMI inputs, one on the front, and three HDMI outputs. There is also a phono input for a turntable.

The AVR-X4500H supports Apple AirPlay 2, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for direct streaming of music. The built-in HEOS network technology makes the possibilities for streaming very diverse. You also have access to internet radio and a wide range of music services, such as Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Amazon Prime Music and many more. The AVR-X4500H can also be used as a HEOS multiroom system that allows you to play content on all wireless speakers at home.

Denon AVR-X3500H

The AVR-X3500H is a 7.2-channel av receiver with a capacity of 180 watts per channel and also has many of the same features and techniques as its bigger brother. So there is also HEOS present, there is support for the latest audio and video formats and you have access to HDMI conversion to the 4K resolution. Both receivers come with Audyssey MultEQ XT32 car calibration and room acoustics optimization with LFC, Sub EQ, Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ.

Price and availability

The AVR-X4500H has a suggested retail price of 1,599 euros and will be available from September 2018. The AVR-X3500H costs 999 euros and is for sale from August 2018.
