The Studio 3D Mini soundbar from Definitive Technology is 66cm wide and 5cm high, which we like anyway stamp as a small soundbar. The elongated speaker has a 4.1-channel configuration and can play both Dolby Atmos and DTS: X processing audio formats. The external subwoofer supplies too low tones.

According to Definitive Technology, the Studio 3D Mini soundbar must be able to create a dynamic soundstage that is the same size as soundbars twice its size. The drivers are positioned to send the audio to the front and sides of the room. Speakers facing up are missing.

The speaker is equipped with one HDMI input and an HDMI output with eARC and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10. There is also a USB port for audio playback, as well as an aux input and an optical input. For wireless streaming, the Studio 3D Mini soundbar is equipped with AirPlay 2 and Denon’s HEOS streaming audio platform. Voice control is possible with Amazon Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant.

For now, the Definitive Technology Studio 3D Mini has only been announced in the United States for a price of $ 899. It is not yet known whether and when the soundbar will come to the Benelux.
