The traditional manufacturer Canton has announced a veritable armada of new speakers. With the new GLE series there are eleven models for HiFi and home cinema (including Dolby Atmos) – and with the Power Sub series there are three more bass-potent active subwoofers.
Canton GLE series
With the GLE series, Canton is now relying on that Membrane material titanium for the low and midrange. Two of the models are also equipped with double-cone membranes for even more pressure and control. The continuous membrane surface is striking and defining the style. Aluminum-manganese tweeters are responsible for the high frequency range in the GLE series.
A visually appealing mixture of a silk-matt baffle and decorative film in black or white is offered. Four of the models will also be available in the Makassar variant. The magnetically adhering fabric coverings are oval. At the back we not only find the bass reflex openings, but also single-wiring terminals with gold-plated screw terminals that can accommodate cables with a cross-section of up to 10 mm².

In total, the new GLE series consists of four floorstanding loudspeakers in the price range from 898 euros to 1,698 euros (pair), two compact loudspeakers (478 and 538 euros / pair), three wall speakers (209 to 329 euros / each) and a Dolby Atmos loudspeaker (349 euros / piece) and a center (339 euros / piece).
Canton power sub-series
All three subwoofers in the series – in the price range between 539 and 779 euros each – come with a titanium cone driver and a downfire bass reflex system that comes with Passive membranes is working.

They are equipped with powerful Class D modules. The three subwoofer models differ primarily in terms of their amplifier power and the size of the drivers – there are versions with 8, 10 and 12-inch drivers.
