WOW Orchestra Combines the LG TV’s speakers with the soundbar for a bigger sound. 4K/120Hz support pass-through 4K/120Hz signals for high-end gaming.
LG has introduced a trio of features collectively known as Wow Synergy to enhance the seamless integration between their televisions and soundbars. Alongside the bracket feature, the other two components are WowCast and Wow Orchestra. WowCast facilitates streaming lossless audio over Wi-Fi between an LG TV and a soundbar, requiring an additional transmitter. Meanwhile, Wow Orchestra serves as a sound processing mode that synergizes the TV’s built-in speakers with the audio output from the soundbar.
WOW Orchestra isn’t presented as an isolated sound mode; it functions in conjunction with the currently selected mode to further enrich the audio experience. The C3 OLED TV features an onscreen Quick Menu for convenient access to this feature. Using this interface, I could easily toggle the Wow Orchestra on and off, allowing me to assess its impact on the sound presentation.
In practice, Wow Orchestra noticeably enhances the audio by expanding its dimensions and adding vibrancy. Even without employing rear speakers, which can be added to the SC9S soundbar, Wow Orchestra creates a quasi-surround sound ambiance. This effect particularly benefits the height channels within Atmos soundtracks, lending them greater depth and presence. The treble detail also receives a boost, although, in some instances, it appears to be slightly overly emphasized during movie scenes.
