AVM CS 2.3: CD streaming receiver

AVM CS 2.3: CD streaming receiver has been launched and will be avaiable in the market for the price of 4,990 euros only.

The well-known manufacturer AVM, based in Malsch in Baden, is introducing the AVM CS 2.3, the successor to the successful CS 2.2 model that we introduced almost seven years ago test had.

Among other things, the new development focused on modernized control via app. The new AVM-X-Stream-Engine is able to stream all relevant high-resolution audio formats – including DSD128. The streaming engine is an in-house development by AVM and can be easily updated if necessary.

The 2 × 140 watt amplifier stages, which are now technically based on the “big brother” CS 8.3, and the digital section: A DAC chip from the latest ESS Saber product line is now used here (9038Q2M) .

The connectivity is also impressive: the AVM CS 2.3 has several high-level inputs, a phono branch (MM and MC) and various digital inputs (USB storage media, HDMI ARC, optical, coaxial). And if you still have “old” silver disks, you can entrust them to the built-in TEAC slot-in drive.

The CS 2.3 is available in the color variants silver or black, there is also a “Cellini version” with a chrome front for an extra charge. And if you register your device online after purchasing it, you will receive a warranty extension to a total of four years.
