The Arlo Ultra 2 XL is basically exactly the same camera as the Arlo Ultra 2. However, the housing is a bit larger to make room for the new XL battery. This means that the battery life with this new version has increased to a full year. So you don’t have to worry about charging for a year, although this obviously depends on the use. By comparison, the regular Arlo Ultra 2 lasts six months on a single charge.
The other specifications are identical. You have a smart security camera with a 4k resolution with HDR and a wide viewing angle of 180 degrees. Zoom in up to 12x and you have premium two-way audio, color night vision, smart notifications, adjustable activity zones, object detection, video playback for up to 30 days, an integrated spotlight and a siren. The excellent image and sound quality, the abundance of options and the lightning-fast notifications resulted in a very positive rating in our review. So the XL version offers exactly the same, but with an XL battery in a larger housing.
