iOS 16 preview
iOS 16 will get new personalized features, more intelligence, and new ways to communicate and share, according to Apple. We start with the new lockscreen that you will soon be able to find on your device. You will soon be able to personalize this and, for example, show a photo you made, choose a different font or place widgets. You can create multiple types of personalized lockscreens and easily switch between them. The way notifications are displayed will also change. By means of ‘Focus’ you will soon be able to select which notifications from apps and from which people may be shown on the lockscreen. This way you can keep the ‘Focus’ on work and private life by not allowing everything at all times.
Also new is the shared library in iCloud, which Apple says will soon be an easy way to share photos with family and friends. Messages is also addressed. You will soon be able to edit messages or delete recently sent messages. Smaller changes are the improved search function in your mailbox, safer and easier passwords with Passkeys, more intelligent functions by extracting texts directly from an image and smarter dictation, whereby the text of spoken words should contain much less errors.
