Apple releases iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5
This new and major version of the operating system will probably be officially presented in June. The current new update with iOS 15.5 is therefore smaller than the previous update, but with some changes. Unfortunately, most functions do not work in the Netherlands and Belgium, but exclusively in the United States. What is new in the Netherlands and Belgium is the following:
- Apple Podcasts now has a new setting for limiting the number of episodes stored on your iPhone and deleting episodes automatically
- Fixed an issue where home automations triggered by people arriving or leaving would not run
iOS for the iPhones has been separated from iOS for the iPad for some years now. The operating system for the iPad is now called iPadOS and version 15.5 is now available there too. iPadOS basically has the same improvements and fixes and the new Apple Podcasts setting.
Download iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5
You will automatically receive a notification of the latest update on your iPhone or iPad, but you can also do this manually. You do that in the following way:
- Go to the settings on your iPhone.
- Press “general”.
- Go to “Software Update”.
- You should now see steps on your screen that you can follow to download the new update.
