Android TV appears to be getting a new design later this year. Google then focuses on content, but also on smart home functions. American users can even count on an integration with the television service YouTube TV.
Spotted a new design for Android TV
Images have surfaced of the new design for Android TV, the software that Google has developed for televisions and media players. The new layout of the operating system will soon place much more emphasis on content. Somehow the new design also resembles the layout that was recently rolled out to the Google Play Store . At the top you will find a number of options. From left to right we see Search, Recommendations, Live, Movies, Series, Apps and Library are on a screenshot. The heading Live refers to the integration with the American-launched television service YouTube TV.
In addition, more is also being done with the Google Assistant and smart home. It is still the case that the Google Assistant only appears at the bottom of the screen and gives you the answer you were looking for. Soon the voice assistant will cover the entire screen. In addition, it will be possible to view the images from your security camera on your TV. Probably only the Nest cameras, but this may apply to all cameras with Google Assistant support. Google has not yet announced anything about the new design. The screenshots come from the editors of the well-known XDA Developers .
