Android Q becomes Android 10

Google has announced the official name for Android Q, thus, Android Q becomes Android 10. This version of the operating system is called Android 10. In the future, Google will no longer use names of all kinds of sweet treats for the name of the ox.

Android Q becomes Android 10

Earlier this month, Google launched the latest beta version of Android Q. That means we will soon be getting the public version of the latest version of the operating system. It is not yet clear exactly when. What is clear is what we are going to call the update. Traditionally, it is the name of some sweet treat, such as Kitkat, Oreo or Pie. But for Q, Google keeps it simple: Android Q goes through life as Android 10. The names of the treats will not return.

Android 10 sounds short and sweet. The reason Google is getting rid of the treats is because not everyone is familiar with all the tasty, sweet things that can be chosen as names. That’s why Google is now going the same route as iOS, Windows and, this is a little closer to home, Chrome OS. Accessibility is also of paramount importance. For example, the Android logo also has a slightly different font and the black letters on a white background or white letters on a black background: pleasant for everyone to read.

Andy the Android and the green color do not disappear completely from view. For example, Google will still use the android, or at least the top part of its head, when the brand is used in a video, for example.
