Amazon will soon announce a new Fire TV media player. The name of that player has already been confirmed by the tech giant and sounds like Amazon Fire TV Cube. The Cube may have a microphone, speaker and voice assistant Alexa on board.

On the website of Amazon a new page has been spotted, namely one for the unannounced Amazon Fire TV Cube. Probably the page went online a bit too early, because registering for extra news does not work at all for everyone. Little is currently known about the device itself. The website AFTV News reports in any case that this media player, probably in the form of a cube, can have Amazon Echo-like buttons on the top.
There may also be a lightbar that can show whether voice assistant Alexa listens or not and you could find buttons for the volume. The microphone with which you communicate with Alexa is one of the far-field category, so the Amazon Fire TV Cube can also hear you from a few meters away. There will also be an infrared sensor, so you can operate the Cube with your own remote control. Unfortunately we do not know anything about the specifications of the media player at the time of writing.
